We’ll welcome you as a trained diver and offer you the chance to dive all the best sites both locally and further afield.
Although we are an independent sub aqua club, we are affiliated to Scuba Diving International (SDI), part of Technical Diving International (TDI). This means that we are able to accept your existing qualifications (from almost any other organisation).
If you then want to climb the qualification ladder, you can simply follow the SDI route with us. As most diving organisations follow a similar pattern of qualification equivalent to depth limit, a check on your current qualification is normally the only requirement to crossing you over. Our Diving Officer and/or our Training Officer will be on hand to advise further if required.
An inspection of your qualification documents and a short pool assessment with one of our members is all that’s required to get you started..
Crossing your existing qualifications over to SDI
As most diving organisations follow a similar pattern of qualification grade to depth limit, a check on your current qualification is normally the only requirement to crossing you over, should you wish. SDI do make a charge for the issue of new documentation. Our Diving Officer, Training Officer or Secretary will be on hand to advise further if required.
